Islamabad has responded forcefully to the “inflammatory” speech as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stoked anti-Pakistan emotions to garner votes in their election campaign.
The News claims that the Foreign Office sent India a strong warning on Tuesday, requesting that it refrain from waging a last-ditch war against Pakistan.
The BJP and PM Modi have resorted to “bravado” and “jingoism” in an attempt to increase their margin of victory in the six-week general elections.
FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch responded to the use of provocative comments directed towards Pakistan by stating that the charges against the nation’s strategic capabilities were unfounded.”Pakistan’s strategic capability is intended to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty. Should the Indian side decide to take a misadventure, Pakistan has also amply proved its determination to protect itself in the past and would not hesitate to do so in the future,” the speaker issued a warning.
