Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad was arrested by Israeli soldiers during the interception of the Gaza aid flotilla, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it is making “tireless efforts” to get him out.
The press release from the FO stated, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, through its Embassy in Amman, is working tirelessly to secure the safe evacuation of former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.”
With the help of the Jordanian government, the foreign ministry aimed to finish the evacuation process for the former MP within the “next couple of days.”
The FO said, “We are hopeful that the process can be successfully concluded within the next couple of days with the invaluable assistance of the Jordanian government.”
