After causing a stir with their unexpected visit to Jamaica, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s prime minister Andrew Holness has finally spoken out.
When the royal couple unexpectedly traveled to Jamaica to see the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love at the Carib Theatre in Kingston, they appeared to start a diplomatic dispute.
They also took pictures with the prime minister of Jamaica, whose anti-monarchy stance made headlines.
The Jamaican prime minister claimed that since Harry and Meghan’s visit, he has been “drawn into UK issues” in an interview with a local newspaper.
He remarked, “I was happy to see royals attending this important event and I was pleased as well. Little did I know that I would be drawn into some internal issues in the United Kingdom.” Still, increased exposure for Jamaica is inevitable.”
One of the 14 non-UK realms where the King of Britain holds the position of head of state is Jamaica.
