ISLAMABAD: In honor of the 12th Rabi ul Awal, which is Eid Milad un Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), the federal government has proclaimed September 6 (Saturday) a national holiday.
The Cabinet Division has announced that on September 6, the nation would celebrate Eid Milad un Nabi of 1500 Hijri.
Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, made the announcement last week after failing to see the Rabi ul Awal moon.
Maulana Azad informed reporters that most areas had gloomy weather and that no reliable reports of moon sightings had been received nationwide.
Notably, Muslims throughout commemorate the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth.
