Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck’s wife, and Jennifer Garner, his ex-wife, have reconciled because they see the value of their positive relationship for their children.
The Mother star and the Alias actor were said to have a tumultuous relationship, but an insider told Us Weekly that the women have a “great relationship.”
Although Lopez and Affleck do not have children together, they are both parents to children from past relationships.
While Lopez is a mother to twins Emme and Max that she shares with her ex-partner Marc Anthony, Affleck is the parent of three children—Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel—with Garner.
A family-close source stated, “Jennifer, Jen, and Ben have had a great relationship for quite some time now,” in reference to their interpersonal dynamics.
“They understand that there will be numerous occasions when they’ll all be at the same events together, whether that be sporting events, school plays, etc.” they continued.
“They communicate about their children, their schedules, etc. quite a bit. They only care about the children because they are aware that they stand to gain the most.
As parents, they respect one another and are aware of how well their children get along. They will go to any lengths to support such relationships because they genuinely want to see them flourish.The source went on to say that all that had happened was now “water under the bridge” and that “everything is genuinely peaceful.”
