Donald Trump added another item to his list of criticisms on Sunday, as he mocked this year’s Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, which are Hollywood’s greatest honor, according to The US Sun.
The 96th Academy Awards, or Oscars, were held on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and while audiences watched their favorite artists win and lose, the former President of the United States had other plans.
Trump, 77, turned to Truth Social to trash the awards presentation.
Trump began his outburst by attacking Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel, whom he believes is unqualified for the job.
“Has there ever been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at the Oscars?
“His opening was that of a less-than-average person attempting to be something he is not and never will be,” Trump said on Truth Social.
He proposed replacing Kimmel with George Stephanopoulos, the host of ABC’s Sunday morning current events news show This Week, whose name he misread as “George Slopanopoulos”.
“Get go of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed-up but inexpensive ABC ‘star,’ George Slopanopoulos. He would make everyone on stage appear larger, stronger, and more gorgeous.
The single Republican presidential contender in 2024 continued to criticize the show for being less entertaining and unjust.
“Also, a terribly awful politically correct performance today and for years—disjointed, uninteresting, and extremely unfair. Why don’t they just give it?
