RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces have successfully killed four terrorists in Kalat, Balochistan, who were linked to the India-backed group Fitna al-Hindustan, according to the military’s media wing, ISPR.
The operation, based on intelligence reports, was carried out on the night of November 1, 2025. Security forces engaged the militants and killed all four, also recovering weapons and ammunition from the site. A follow-up operation was launched to make sure no other terrorists were hiding in the area.
The ISPR said these actions are part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign, Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, aimed at eliminating foreign-backed terrorism from Pakistan. President Asif Ali Zardari praised the forces for their efforts and reiterated the nation’s support for their mission to tackle terrorism.
the NorthThis comes a day after three terrorists were killed in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in North Waziristan and Tank districts. In North Waziristan’s Esham area, security forces intercepted a group attempting to cross from Afghanistan and successfully neutralized them.
Pakistan has faced increasing terrorist attacks in KP and Balochistan since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in 2021. Islamabad has repeatedly asked the Taliban regime to take action against groups targeting Pakistan, but there has been little progress. Tensions further rose after unprovoked firing from across the border on October 12.
Following talks in Istanbul from October 25–30, Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to extend their border ceasefire and set up a monitoring system to maintain peace. The operational details of this framework are expected to be finalized on November 6.
