Mushtaq Ahmad, a former senator who was arrested by Israeli authorities during last week’s interdiction of the Gaza aid flotilla, landed in Islamabad Thursday afternoon.
Several residents arrived at Islamabad International Airport to greet the former congressman while waving Palestinian and Pakistani flags. The locals raised slogans in support of the Palestinian people and threw rose petals.
Speaking to the media, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami stated that the massacre of Muslims in Palestine had been going on for more than two years.
He added that he and others traveled for thirty days and thirty nights at sea, and that thousands of children in Gaza are now disabled and orphaned.
During the trip, Ahmad reported that the Samad Flotilla was the target of three drone assaults.
