With backing from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Green tourist Pakistan has started a number of programs to encourage foreign investment in the nation’s travel and tourist industry.
Important initiatives include fast-track visa processing within 24 hours, visa-free access for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, and visa-on-arrival for 126 countries. It is anticipated that these actions will draw 8.3 billion rupees in local investment and almost $80 million in foreign direct investment.
Green Tourism Private Limited has started building four- and five-star city hotels as well as hunting resorts in Naltar, Hunza, and Skardu in an effort to improve the facilities for tourists. In the first phase, development work has started at 17 of the 78 areas that were identified.
The company’s request to create a single agency to boost air operations and tourism has been approved.
