As Punjab struggles with widespread floods brought on by the continuous increase in rivers, torrential rains wreaked havoc in Gujrat, burying multiple villages and causing water to pool in urban areas.
Gujrat received up to 577 millimeters of rain on Wednesday, causing drainage drains to overflow, flooding numerous nearby villages and destroying crops. Additionally, the water seeped into the district jail and the sessions court’s grounds.
