One of Pakistan’s most well-known businessmen and philanthropists, Rafiq Habib, died in Dubai on Wednesday. He was eighty-eight.
Habib, who was born in 1937, served as the previous head of the House of Habib, one of Pakistan’s most prominent banking and commercial conglomerates.
Along with leading the company, Habib was instrumental in the advancement of higher education. As the Habib University Foundation’s first chancellor, he continued to play a significant role in establishing its educational philosophy, emphasizing inclusive and creative learning.
