An airstrike on Hamas officials in the capital of Qatar, Doha, was confirmed by the Israeli military on Tuesday.
Israeli airplanes launched the attack on a gathering of Hamas negotiators who were debating former US President Trump’s peace ideas.
Al Jazeera reports that Azhar Jabbareen, a Palestinian leader, was killed in the strike. Khalil al-Hayya, a Hamas official, was also martyred, according to Arab media.
Israeli media reported that prior to the airstrike on Hamas leaders in Doha, the United States was notified.
The incident was denounced by Qatar as a blatant breach of international law. The start of a high-level investigation into the incident was declared by the government.
