As Pakistan prepares to play England in the opening Twenty20 match of the competition in Leeds today, fast bowler Hasan Ali has been “released” from the Green Shirts’ team for the T20 World Cup 2024, sources informed Geo News on Wednesday.
The management of the team has made the decision to permit Hasan to fulfill his obligations in county cricket, where he will represent Warwickshire.
This comes after the injured Haris Rauf was replaced in the squad by the right-arm pacer.
But now that he’s fully recovered, Rauf will play in the four-match T20I series against England.
On May 14, Hasan made his final T20I appearance for Pakistan against Ireland, recording a score of 0/42.
