Hassaan Niazi, the nephew of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), filed a challenge in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday against his military detention, court martial, and all associated processes.
According to the appeal, which was submitted by prominent attorney Faisal Siddiqi, Niazi was never brought before a civilian court following his apprehension in relation to the May 9 cases.
Rather, he was allegedly turned over to military authorities by Sarwar Road Police without a valid reason.
