Fears of greater flooding and landslides have been raised by the Meteorological Department’s projection of additional rains throughout Pakistan beginning tomorrow and lasting until September 19.
As the nation struggles with severe monsoon losses, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities have also issued a warning about possible glacier eruptions in the northern areas.
New weather predictions for every province
The Meteorological Department predicts that between September 16 and 19, humid winds from the Arabian Sea will move into the country’s higher regions tonight, bringing sporadic rainfall to a number of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts, including Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, and Kohat.
From September 15 to 19, there will be a lot of rain in Kashmir in the areas of Rawalakot, Hattian Bala, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur, and the adjacent districts.
