According to information provided on Thursday, heavy trucks would not be allowed on Raiwind Road between 7 am and 11 pm.
Officials from the traffic police stated that the area between Thokar Niaz Baig and Raiwind is subject to the restriction. Instead, heavy traffic will be rerouted to Multan Road, Manga Mandi, and Sundar Road.
Heavy vehicles will also not be able to access Defence Road from Kahna Kacha.
A rise in accidents on Raiwind Road prompted the decision. Under the direction of circle officers, more staff have been sent in to handle the situation.
