On Monday, Lebanon’s Hezbollah organization claimed to have launched a drone attack on an Israeli air defense installation across the border in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
It said the uncommon attack, in which it launched four drones, hit their target with “accuracy” in what it described as another operation to bolster Palestinian resistance movements in Gaza.
Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria in 1967.
The Iranian-aligned Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been exchanging fire along Lebanon’s southern border since October, when Hezbollah fired rockets toward Israel in support of its Palestinian affiliate Hamas, which is at war with Israel in the Gaza Strip.
