In a High Court hearing scheduled for January, the 63-year-old actor was supposed to have his allegation of illegal information gathering against The News examined.
Meghan and Prince Harry were suing News Group Newspapers (NGN) for alleged crimes such as eavesdropping on landlines, breaking into homes, and “blagging” private information about the former.
In a post on news, Grant stated that he chose to settle rather than face millions of dollars in litigation fees.
“Entirely innocent of the things I had accused the Sun of doing – phone hacking, unlawful information gathering, landline tapping, the burglary of my flat,” the actor stated of NGN’s accusation.
