According to information obtained by News, the Treasury has extended an invitation to the leaders of some of the most well-known private enterprises in Britain to attend a meeting at the chancellor’s weekend country estate, Dorneywood, next month.
According to sources, the fintech and biotech industries’ entrepreneurs who support possible float candidates will be the focus of the all-day event on May 16.
According to the sources, important government figures and representatives from the London Stock Exchange will be in attendance, along with City minister Bim Afolami and main business adviser to the prime minister Lord Petitgas.
The Treasury stated that guests and the chancellor will “discuss the UK’s capital markets and how they can support innovative, high-growth companies such as yours to achieve your growth ambitions” in the invitation, a copy of which News has seen.
