PESHAWAR: Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has instructed the party’s leadership to stage nationwide demonstrations only with local government approval in order to avert conflict, sources said Geo News on Wednesday.
The sources claim that the former prime minister made these remarks while meeting in the Adiala jail with Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Gandapur had earlier this week declared, without specifying a date, that his party would conduct its next public meeting in Islamabad in the upcoming days, come rain or shine.
“No one can stop us [from staging a rally],” Gandapur had declared during the PTI public event in Swabi, KP, which was held to commemorate Khan’s one-year imprisonment.”I’m announcing the next power show in Islamabad as the chief minister.”
According to the sources, Khan stated he was willing to negotiate with anyone within the bounds of the law and the Constitution while talking about the state of national politics. In addition, he ordered that their “stolen” mandate be returned.
