Social media users have asserted that Ali Amin Gandapur, the senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has called on former prime minister Imran Khan to “apologise” for his “past mistakes” and implicated some PTI leaders in acts of terrorism.
This assertion is untrue. These remarks have not been made by the chief minister of the province.

An X (previously Twitter) user posted a 55-second video clip of Gandapur on August 11. The KP CM is heard on the video talking about the necessity to take responsibility for one’s faults, bringing up fashion designer Khadija Shah and referencing lawmakers Hammad Azhar and Yasmin Rashid.”It was my fault,” the user captioned the video, claiming that it was Gandapur’s actual comments. My visit to the Corps Commander House in Peshawar was my own mistake. I expressed regret. Imran Khan ought to acknowledge his errors and extend his regrets. There are recordings of Yasmin Rashid, Hammad Azhar, and Khadijah Shah. They were all parties to acts of terrorism.
