ISLAMABAD The founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, is currently detained and has finally joined the investigation into the controversial video that surfaced on his official X account a few days ago. This comes after Khan twice refused to appear before authorities in connection with the contentious tweet issue, officials informed Geo News.
Following the release of a contentious video on his official X account concerning the Fall of Dhaka incident, the former prime minister Khan officially joined the FIA’s investigation.
“Every Pakistani should study the Hamood ur Rahman Commission Report and get to know who was the true traitor, General Yahya Khan or Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” the message stated.
According to the sources, an investigative team led by Sub-Inspector Munib and Additional Director Ayaz Ahmed of the FIA arrived at the Adiala.
It was revealed that Khan entered the inquiry while his attorneys, Intezar Hussain Panjutha and Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas, were present.
Following Khan’s controversial X post in jail, the FIA team interrogated him throughout the investigation.
In addition to Khan, three other PTI leaders, Barrister Gohar Khan, Omar Ayub, and Raoof Hasan, had also received notices from the FIA about the matter.
