Lane and stop line infractions accounted for the most number of fines issued, 800,000, according to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Amara Athar of Lahore.
According to Amara Athar, 220,000 motorcyclists received citations for failing to wear helmets.
In addition, 274,000 citations were given out for operating motorbikes or cars without a license.
According to the chief of traffic police in Lahore, 143,390 offenders were also found driving without number plates or with “applied for registration” (AFR).
Driving licenses and other facilities are being given to citizens by traffic police offices in every district of the province, according to a statement made earlier on June 22 by Inspector General Police (IGP) of Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.
