The event came to light after the father of the girl filed a complaint and opened a case with the Tarnol police station.
The suspect lived in Lahore and was a close friend of the complainant, according to the police.
He and his family arrived on a motorcycle on September 20 and spent the night at the complainant’s home in Islam Market, Tarnol.
When he discovered his motorcycle was gone the following day, he confronted the person who had reported it as stolen and demanded his return.
He picked up the complainant’s three-year-old daughter on September 22 and told him later that he had her with him and would give her back to him when he retrieved his motorcycle.
