An MI-17 helicopter crashed in Hudor village, around 12 kilometers from Thakdas Cantonment in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), killing two Pakistan Army pilots and five other crew members, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
According to the military’s media wing, the helicopter experienced a technical issue while on a regular training flight.
The statement said, “An MI-17 helicopter crashed near Hudor village, approximately 12 kilometers away from Thakdas Cantonment, on September 1, 2025, at around 10:00 hours.”
It further stated, “The helicopter experienced a technical malfunction and crashed while conducting routine training flights.”
