ISLAMABAD: Hassan Zahid’s bail request in the Samia Hijab kidnapping case was denied by an Islamabad district and sessions court on Wednesday.
After the refusal, police obtained a two-day physical remand from the court in a case involving cash stealing and threats, and they also detained the accused in another case.
Following Zahid’s identification, the investigating officer informed the court that additional arrests of other suspects connected to the case will be made.
The court was also told by the defense attorney that Zahid and the accuser, Samia Hijab, were already engaged. Two cases against Zahid are presently pending at the Shalimar Police Station.
