On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that India and Pakistan are neighbors who must live along, with India having to choose between continuing to be an antagonistic neighbor and becoming a nice neighbor.
The prime minister added, “Any talks with India must be fair,” while speaking to a crowded auditorium of Pakistanis living abroad in London. He also discussed Pakistan’s recent accomplishments, global challenges, and the country’s future.
Pakistan and India have fought four wars, each costing billions of dollars, the prime minister told the gathering.
“That money should have been spent on schools, hospitals, roads, and improving the lives of ordinary citizens,” he stated, emphasizing that the resolution of the Kashmir issue is crucial to the advancement of relations with India.
