ABU DHABI: India’s victory over Oman at the Zayed Cricket Stadium on Monday guaranteed them a place in the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 Super Four.
With two victories in two games, the blue-clad men topped Group A, confirming India’s qualifying.
India defeated their bitter rivals, Pakistan, on Sunday after beginning their campaign with a victory over the United Arab Emirates. They comfortably top the standings with four points and a net run-rate of 4.793.
Although Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates are equal on two points apiece, Pakistan is in second place because of a higher net run-rate of 1.649 than the UAE’s -2.030.
With a dismal net run-rate of -3.375 and no wins after today’s loss, Oman also fell out of the competition.
