LONDON: According to a Centre for Migration Control (CMC) analysis of official British data, Indian nationals have become the nationality with the biggest percentage increase in convictions for sexual offences in the UK, despite a broader spike in foreigners receiving sentences for such offences over the previous four years.
Despite a 62% increase in foreign national convictions for sexual offenses within the same time period, the think tank reported that convictions of Indian nationals increased by 257% between 2021 and 2024, based on data from the UK Ministry of Justice.
The Police National Computer (PNC) is the source of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) data.
