The all-rounder Shivam Dube gave bowling coach Morne Morkel credit for the tactical adjustments and guidance that resulted in his three-wicket haul during India’s decisive nine-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates at the Asia Cup on Wednesday.
India pulled down the UAE’s target in only 4.3 overs after they were skittled for 57 runs in the Twenty20 match, with Dube having career-best figures of 3/4 and Kuldeep Yadav taking four wickets.
“Morne has been working with me since I came back into the Indian team for the England series,” Dube stated to reporters.
I was instructed by him to bowl a line that is just a little bit outside the off-stump. He also adjusted my run-up a little and helped me build a slower delivery.
