The average cost was Rs2,294 after a 20-kilogram bag of flour saw a price hike of Rs465. It went for up to Rs 2,500 in various cities. In just one week, this is an increase of over 25%.
In a single week, tomatoes experienced an extraordinary 46% growth. Some markets recorded sales at Rs300, while the average price per kilogramme was Rs 205.
