Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is the most eligible bachelor among the country’s cricketers, and practically everyone wants to know who would be his future wife.
As one of the most well-known cricketers in the country and around the world, Babar’s marriage has always been the talk of the town, but fans’ curiosity grows anytime one of his teammates marries.
2023 was dubbed the ‘year of marriage’ for Pakistani cricketers after a number of national players married last year. Despite stories of Babar’s engagement and upcoming wedding, no one knew who his future wife would be.
The subject came under discussion once more when the cricketing fraternity convened under one roof on the occasion.
Following the event, Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan brought up the subject lightheartedly during a conversation with cricket presenter Zainab Abbas.
Babar grinned and informed Rizwan that he would speak with him about the subject when they were “alone”.
This led Zainab to continue the debate, claiming “everyone has got married,” referring to Shaheen Afridi, Shan Masood, and Shadab Khan, who had recently married.
However, Babar deftly avoided the subject by responding, “Look at all of their faces.”
Shadab responded, “I am very happy [with my marriage].”
This discussion arose from an interesting topic posed by one of the session’s attendees.
“Will your bride be from Karachi?”
However, Babar preferred being quiet and avoided addressing the question with a smile
