According to a United Nations commission’s assessment released on Tuesday, the Israeli government has demonstrated a clear intention to take over Gaza permanently and guarantee a Jewish majority in the occupied West Bank.
According to the UN study, Israeli authorities have been systematically destroying civilian infrastructure in Gaza’s buffer zone and corridors, which has led to Israel gaining control of 75% of the Gaza Strip by July of this year.
According to the UN’s Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory report, “Israeli forces have also intentionally altered the geography of Gaza” by constructing security zones, enlarging the buffer zone along the border, and building military corridors.
Israel continues to insist that its war is against Hamas, not the people of Gaza.
