After Israel declared it was going to destroy the region in an attack to exterminate Hamas, Palestinians residing in the ruins of Gaza City were inundated with Israeli leaflets on Tuesday telling them to leave, sparking uncertainty and fear.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, took credit Tuesday for the shooting that killed six Israelis on the outskirts of Jerusalem the day before. Israel declared that it would destroy the houses of the people who lived in the villages where the assailants lived in the occupied West Bank.
Since the Israeli government came up with a plan to kill Hamas in what it claims are the organization’s final strongholds, residents of Gaza City, which was home to a million Palestinians before to the war, have been anticipating an assault for weeks.
