ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has issued a requisition to the Establishment Division requesting the services of the BPS-20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service. As a result, Lahore Commissioner Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa is anticipated to be named Islamabad chief commissioner.
The interior ministry announced that the senior bureaucrat would take up the duties of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Chief Commissioner’s office. According to the CDA Ordinance, the chief commissioner is also a board member of the CDA.
According to the official sources, Randhawa would take over as chief commissioner following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s blessing. Following that, the Cabinet Division will also declare his nomination to the post of Chief of the CDA, taking over for Captain (retd) Anwarul Haq in both roles.
