After making fun of Taylor Swift in his opening speech at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, comedian Jo Koy has provided an explanation.
Koy had stated in his monologue, “What’s the huge difference between the NFL and the Golden Globes? We have less pictures of Taylor Swift from the Golden Globes.
Taylor Swift glared back at Koy’s comment, showing not even the slightest hint of a smile.
The comedian has since clarified that he didn’t mean to mock the Karma hitmaker. “Aww, it was really cute. He said to Entertainment Tonight, “I was just saying it was cute.” “I was just saying it’s less cutaways, that’s all,” he said.

In the category of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures, The Eras Tour received a nomination. Barbie, played by Greta Gerwig, won the prize.
In reference to the 34-year-old siger being the center of attention at her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s NFL games, Koy made a joke.
Taylor said, “I’m just there to support Travis,” in response to some NFL fans who thought it inappropriate that the musician was given so much attention. I don’t know if I’m annoying any parents, Brads, and Chads by being shown too much.
