The “Good Times” actor’s son, K.C. Amos, made the announcement of his death public on Tuesday. However, Shannon Amos, his daughter, disclosed on her Instagram page on Wednesday that she was unaware of her father’s passing until she came across it in the media.
“I have nothing to say.She posted a video of herself and Amos dancing to Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father” along with the tragic news that Amos, Jr., had transitioned on August 21st.
She went on, “We are horrified and have a lot of concerns about how this occurred 45 days ago. We found out about it through it.
We are finding it difficult to deal with the flood of feelings and doubts surrounding his death at a time when we should be commemorating and celebrating his life,” she continued. Even still, there is a little measure of comfort in knowing that my father is at last free.
