Following a 2-0 loss to Hearts, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers received a touchline ban last week for his criticism of Beaton’s VAR performance.
Rodgers will be in the dugout at Ibrox, but he watched the victory over Livingston on Sunday from the stands.
He had said that “the game was refereed outside the field” and cited Beaton’s “really poor officiating”.
As a result of Beaton summoning referee Don Robertson to the monitor, Yang Hyun-jun’s yellow card was escalated to a red one.
After that, Tomoki Iwata gave up a penalty for Hearts’ first goal after the ball hit the midfielder’s arm.
Nick Walsh will be on VAR at Ibrox, and Willie Collum will be the fourth official.
