The former General Hospital star was shot in the early hours of May 25 after approaching robbers attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter, investigators said.
According to authorities, the 37-year-old was shot in the chest with a handgun, and the suspects fled the scene in a downtown Los Angeles parking lot after the shooting.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released a CCTV photograph of three suspects standing near a black vehicle.
According to the LAPD, one of the suspects had a tattoo above their left eye and right cheek.
A second image shows a stolen automobile, a four-door 2018 Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior, in which the thieves fled the scene, according to the police.
Scarlett Wactor, Wactor’s mother, said the incident occurred after her son left a rooftop bar nearby.
She stated that her son believed his car was being towed after seeing a gathering of people gathered around it.
From 2020 to 2022, Wactor played Brando Corbin in the long-running soap opera General Hospital, appearing in 164 episodes.
He has also appeared in other films and television shows, including NCIS, Criminal Minds, Westworld, Station 19, and the video game Call of Duty: Vanguard.
