Kicker Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens talked about his altercation with Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs during their preseason preparations earlier this week.
Tucker tried to warm up between Mahomes and Kelce prior to the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Game, but Fox News reported that he was pushed away from the goal line.
Tucker’s ball holder was flung by Mahomes, and Kelce cleared the goal line of Tucker’s gloves and helmet.
A day after the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 17–10, Tucker addressed the “silly” event and stated he didn’t think it was “a big deal”.
“For those who are unaware, the way it operates is that the kickers from each team go to the other team’s assigned warm-up area on the field. It’s normally around 90 for me.”I have been doing the same thing for the past twelve years, and I have never really had any issues with anyone. That’s really how we’ve always operated.”
