KARACHI: According to police on Saturday, the man who is suspected of sexually abusing several youngsters in the Qayyumabad neighborhood of Karachi has admitted to the crimes in front of a judicial magistrate.
In Karachi (South), the suspect was brought before the magistrate, and his statement was duly recorded in accordance with Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
The suspect said, “Yes, I am in court and here to have my statement recorded,” in response to the magistrate’s question about whether he knew where he was. After the confession, the suspect was placed on judicial remand by the court.
According to the police, four victims’ statements have been recorded and a formal identification parade has been finished. The suspect is currently the subject of six distinct cases.
