A clear low-pressure system above Gujarat, India, is expected to bring mild rain to Karachi today (Wednesday), one day after the port city was pummeled by torrential rainfall on Tuesday.
Over the next 24 hours, Karachi is expected to see partly overcast sky with the possibility of light rain or drizzle, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
While the system is moving extremely slowly towards Karachi, moderate rainfall is predicted in several areas of the city, a weather specialist informed News.
The meteorologist cautioned that the likelihood of the system intensifying increases with the more of time it spends over the ocean. The system is currently located about 310 kilometers southeast of Karachi and has the potential to form a depression in the next 12 hours.
