KARACHI: To more effectively maintain the security of mourning processions during Muharram in the city, the police department of the city on Monday deployed a bomb disposal robot in addition to the stringent manned security preparations.
According to a police official speaking to Geo News, the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robot assists in defusing an explosive device without the need for direct human connection because its operator can operate it from a considerable distance to locate and detonate a bomb.
The unmanned vehicle has a variety of built-in cameras that help with surveillance and close inspection of the area around the gadget.It is important to note that this Wednesday, Youm-e-Ashur, the tenth day of Muharram-ul-Haram, will be marked nationwide in remembrance of Imam Hussain’s (RA) sacrifice in Karbala, along with the martyrdom of his family and loyal companions.
Major cities around the nation will host funeral processions on this particular day. Ulema and Zakireen will discuss the numerous facets of the Karbla catastrophe as well as the teachings of Hussain (RA).
