Kendall Jenner has finally addressed rumors suggesting she is a closeted lesbian and has kept it private to protect her family’s business.
The supermodel opened up on the Jan. 9 episode of Owen Thiele’s podcast In My Dreams, responding to speculation about her sexuality.
“Then there’s this whole side of the internet that thinks I’m a lesbian,” Kendall shared. “What bothers me most is how mean people can be about it. It’s never a welcoming, supportive approach. It’s harsh and judgmental, like, ‘What are you doing?’”
At 30, Kendall emphasized that if she were gay, she would have come out by now, while recognizing the difficulty of publicly sharing one’s sexuality.
Kendall also addressed speculation that she might be hiding her sexuality to protect the Kardashian-Jenner family business.
“There’s this narrative that I’m hiding something,” she explained. “I’ve seen wild claims that coming out would be ‘bad for business.’ I honestly don’t understand that.”
She concluded, “As of today, I am not [gay]. I don’t think I will be, but I’m open to life’s experiences.”
Kendall Jenner on Cosmetic Procedures
The model also clarified rumors about facial plastic surgery.
“I’ve never had plastic surgery on my face, nothing,” Kendall said. “The only thing I’ve tried is baby Botox in my forehead, twice. I didn’t love it, so I don’t do it anymore. I actually enjoy the natural movement I have with my eyebrows.”
