According to recent research, most Scots think that Scotland should abandon the monarchy and become a republic, as reported by The National newspaper.
The discussion over the future of the royal family in Scotland has heated up after the study revealed that over half of participants are in favor of abolishing the British monarchy.
Campaigners opposed to the monarchy swiftly seized upon the findings.
“The royals are rapidly losing support. Republic group posted on X, “We will abolish the monarchy.”
The numbers coincide with King Charles III’s yearly visit to the Scottish Highlands’ Balmoral Castle.
