A day after burying the hatchet with the government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur warned on Tuesday that such an action against the opponents’ “generations will remember” if ordered by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated.
In a passionate address in Swabi, Gandapur declared, “If PTI founder gives a call from the prison, we will play such a game with them that their generations will remember.”
With the words “all fake” and “Khan behind bars for the people,” he exhorted the masses to march to the streets in search of the “truth.”
Referring to the existing conflict, he continued, “Israel wouldn’t have the guts to attack Palestine if the PTI founder sat on the prime minister’s seat.”
Concerning Tarbela Dam, the PTI firebrand also issued a warning about “suspending the power supply of entire country by pressing a single button.”
Gandapur, who had previously threatened to seize control of the Peshawar Electric Supply business (Pesco), the business in charge of distributing power in the province, declared, “I won’t tolerate the 22-hour long loadshedding in the province.” Gandapur was protesting the severe power outages in the province.
It is important to note that the KP government and the Centre had disagreements over a number of matters, one of which being the protracted power outages in the province.
Additionally, there has been a verbal altercation between the KP government and the Center in recent days, with the chief minister Gandapur claiming that the federal government owes the province money.
