Ali Amin Gandapur, the fiery Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stepped up his criticism of the Centre on Saturday, threatening to “hang” anyone who disobeyed the nation’s Constitution.

At a public meeting in Swat, he declared, “[I] swear to God, you will not be able to live in Pakistan, let alone Islamabad.”

“Pakistan’s constitution was broken. The chief minister, backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), yelled, “Those who break the constitution will be hanged.”

He requested identity from individuals who filed “fake cases” against PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned.

The chief minister of KP, Maryam Nawaz, gave the names of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Punjab’s CM Maryam Nawaz. She then asked the assembly to identify the people who had allegedly victimized the party.

“Every day, we will need to hold them responsible. We don’t say anything because of the PTI founder,” he continued.

The late prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was allegedly given “power” by dismantling Pakistan, according to him. “Plots to destroy Pakistan are being hatched again today.”

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan agreed with Gandapur during his speech at the event, stating that the nation could not be run without the Constitution and the law.

“What type of law it is that people are picked up from their homes,” he continued.

Gohar expressed hope that the PTI founder, who is currently imprisoned, will soon be one of his followers.
