Nine senior players were absent from the Premier League leaders’ 4-1 victory against Luton on Wednesday at Anfield.
The inactive players were Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Mohamed Salah, Thiago, Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones, and Darwin Nunez.
Chelsea and Liverpool square off in Sunday’s final at Wembley.
“We have to see [who will be fit for the final], but I said it before the game [against Luton] as long as we have 11 players we will go for it,” Klopp stated.
Will we have a lot of support? Without a doubt not.
Prior to the match against Luton, Klopp said that Jota would be out for “months” due to a knee injury, Jones would be out for “months” due to a bone ligament injury, and Alisson would be out for months due to a muscle problem.
Long-term injuries to Alexander-Arnold, Szoboszlai, and Thiago have been noted, but Klopp has not said whether Salah and Nunez will be available on Sunday.
