In a statement released on Monday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) said that the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will increase as of August 1.
The statement states that the new tariff for LPG is Rs 236.99 per kilogram, an increase of Rs 2.27 per kilogram. Consequently, an 11.8 kilogram household cylinder now costs Rs 26.90 more than before, for a total cost of Rs 2,796.56.
By contrast, in July, the cost of a household 11.8 kilogram cylinder was Rs 2,769.66. This latest increase is indicative of the regular, recurring changes in fuel prices that the regulatory body makes on a quarterly basis.
The updated prices would affect consumers all throughout the country, especially those whose homes cook with LPG.
