The Football Association was looking into Paqueta, 26, according to individuals who spoke with news Sport in August of last year.
Paqueta has not stopped playing for West Ham, and he is part of the Brazil team that will play England in a friendly on Saturday.
The athlete stated on Wednesday, “I’m cooperating as much as I can. It’s been seven months since it happened.”
David Moyes, the manager of West Ham, was confident in the midfielder
The focus of the probe, which is rumored to also involve FIFA, the world governing body, is thought to be bets made in Brazil on Paqueta receiving yellow cards.
“West Ham has always supported me; there was no reason for them not to do what they did, which was nothing more than put their player out there to play soccer,” continued the former Milan star, who has stated he did not place any bets.
“I’m happy to be helping, I hope to help at the end of the season.”
With the Hammers sitting seventh in the Premier League standings and facing Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League quarterfinal, Paqueta has been a mainstay in David Moyes’ squad this season.
